الوصف الوظيفي:

Identify and assess students with special educational needs through observation, testing, and consultation with teachers, parents, and other professionals, with a focus on reading comprehension, phonics and literacy, language and communication (speech), and specific learning disabilities, developmental delays, attention disorders, social skills, autism, and Gifted and Talented and English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Arabic as an Additional Language (AAL) students.  Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals, tailored to the specific needs of the student.  Provide support and resources to students with special educational needs, including academic support, behavioral support, and assistive technology.  Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure that the curriculum and instruction are accessible to students with special needs.  Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and to involve them in the IEP process.  Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on how to work with students with special educational needs.  Keep accurate records of student progress and IEP implementation.
