Job Description:

Adhere to the announced teaching standards.  Develop and implement a comprehensive Service as Action program that aligns with the school's mission and values.  Build and maintain relationships with community partners to create service-learning opportunities for  Set individual students clear targets regularly that build on prior performance  Assess and evaluate the impact of the Service as Action program on students, teachers, and the community.  Coordinate and manage all logistics related to Service as Action events and projects.  Provide training and support for teachers and students on Service as Action. Communicate program updates and successes to the school administration and community.  Collaborate with other service-learning coordinators and programs within the school and community  Coordinate with community organizations and other partners to identify and secure service opportunities for students.  Collaborate with the school's student council and other student groups to encourage student leadership and engagement in SA.  Provide training and support for teachers and students to ensure that service projects are well- planned, well-executed, and have a meaningful impact.  Coordinate the school's annual SA Fair, which showcases the school's service projects and encourages student participation in service.  Work with the school's MARCOM team to document and promote SA activities and achievements.  Keep abreast of best practices and trends in service-learning and bring new ideas and strategies to the school's SA program.  Develop and implement a service learning program that aligns with the school's mission and the IB program's Service as Action (CAS) requirements.  Identify and establish partnerships with community organizations and non-profits to provide students with a variety of service opportunities.  Coordinate with teachers and other school staff to integrate service learning opportunities into the curriculum and lesson plans.  Work with students to develop and implement service projects that align with the school's mission and the IB program's Service as Action (CAS) requirements.  Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about service opportunities and their child's participation in service projects.  Assess and evaluate the impact of the service learning program on students and the community.  Provide support and resources for students, teachers, and community partners including the Service as Action handbook.  Collaborate with other schools and organizations to share best practices and resources for service learning.  Stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in service learning to inform program development.
